The microphone mount on the Canon C100 Mark II is too large for most shotgun microphones. The workaround has always been to wrap your shotgun mic in multiple layers of gaffer tape or slip on plumbing o-rings to make it fit. That’s fine if you want to keep it in place permanently but not ideal if you move your mic to a blimp, boom, etc.
This set of adapters solve the problem and should have been included with the camera. Two adapters, both made of a rugged, flexible composite that have been designed to fit all shotguns mics available. Slips into place and keeps mic secure without introducing more handling noise. No need to remove XLR cable because they open to allow side insertion. Easily removed and stored.
